Delta Hotels and Resorts will be shutting off lights in support of Earth Hour for the second consecutive year at its 46 properties across the country on Saturday March 26, at 8:30 p.m. (local time). That includes the Delta Regina. In addition to going dark, the chain will further demonstrate its commitment to the environment by providing guests with a host of energy-saving service offerings to choose from during their stay that range from creative dining options to family-friendly activities.
Delta Regina will turn off its signature fountain and giveaway complimentary Credo bags to guests, encouraging the use of reusable bags and saying “no thank you” to plastic and paper bags at grocery stores and retail outlets. These bags feature the wording ”cherish our planet, recycle at home or at work, conserve water, plant a tree, walk more, drive less, eliminate plastic bags, carpool, use energy efficient light bulbs, pay bills online, spread the word,” to get people to think about their impact on the environment.
